If you’re in the business of Internet marketing, you are going to run into the problem, sooner or later, of needing more content on a timely basis. There are three main types of content accumulation. You can create it, purchase it, or acquire it from the public domain.

There are sites, such as those listed below, that do offer content that is free for public use:

WkiBooks

WikiBooks has just about every sort of textbook you an imagine and the epresentation is that you can use ll of the information given there for free, and that it will always be free. Any derivation of the work created from the free work is also free.

Project Gutenberg

This is a place where you can get older literary works which are consider public domain in the United States. Any information offered there is free to the public

Penn University’s Online Book Page

Most, but not all, of the books listed here are free for public use.

US Copyright Search

Searching this site will tell you if a work is copyrighted in the United States.
If you’re in another country, then your country should have a similarly searchable database.

Wikipedia, et al.

Wikipedia and other similar sites will have content and images that are free for public use. These images generally fall into the Fair Use clause of copyrighted material and can be used on sites without restriction. As with all “wiki” sites, you must remember that the content is user-donated and, although there are often effective review guidelines and source requirements in place on the site, the material is never guaranteed to be 100% accurate.

These are not the only sources for public domain content or content that’s labeled free for use under the Fair Use Act. You can take the works and use them as is, or create your own products(yes, to make money!) using bits and pieces of the original work and it’s all legal!
